The reed chest is also used to transport small animals from your livestock enclosure. However, the animals need to be sufficiently tame, they need to be at least generation 5.

Catching the animal

  • Place the reed chest in an empty backpack slot of your toolbar.
  • Use Ctrl + roll MMB.png to select the reed chest in the backpack slot.
  • Approch the animal and aim at it.
  • Use Right mouse button to pick up the animal.
  • The animal can stay in the reed chest for 24h. After that, it will die.

Releasing the animal

  • Use Ctrl + roll MMB.png to select the reed chest in the backpack slot.
  • Aim the ground by your feet.
  • Use Right mouse button to release the animal. (If the animal was dead, its body will drop on the ground, you can still loot it with a knife ).
