Water
From Vintage Story Wiki
Water is a block type that is generated throughout the world in different densities. There are two types of water, fresh and salt. It has many uses, including farming, creating solutions, and even in meal making.
Mechanics
Water can be stored in jugs or wooden buckets and can be used in crafting to create flour.
Water extends up to 6 blocks before it can spread no further. Infinite water can be created by using a wooden bucket on a source block, and placing new water from that bucket.
Salt water
Oceans and saltwater were introduced in version 1.18.0. Salt water cannot be used for farming, and crops on farmland blocks will die if exposed to saltwater.
