  • In order to migrate bees into the skep, you must place it on a block near a wild hive located in a tree and plant flowers around it. A wild beehive can be spotted in the forest by the sound of bees buzzing.
  • After a few days, the bees should have migrated into the skep. You can place the skep with   in one of your bag slots (to be selected with the Ctrl + mouse wheel) to bring it home.
  • It is advisable to then place your skep in an enclosure so that raccoons do not come and steal the honey. Plant flowers in this enclosure and place other empty skeps to get more bees.
  • You can harvest the honeycombs by breaking the skep with   when its infobox tells you that its population is large and it is harvestable.
  • Always leave an intact skep in the enclosure with its bees in order to repopulate new empty skeps that you will make to replace those that have been broken.
  • Bees may attack you when you break the skep, but if you have placed a straw dummy nearby, you can use it as a decoy by standing next to it and then moving away when the bees start attacking it.
  • When you break the skep, it drops honeycombs and some reeds .
  • Honeycombs will provide you with honey and beeswax .
