Arrows are a type of ammunition that can be fired from a bow . There are several types of arrow, with different material requirements, that do different tiers of damage depending on what materials they are made from. Hunters can craft a special crude arrow.

Crafting

Arrows are made with three components: an arrowhead , a stick for the arrow shaft, and a feather . The material used to make the arrowhead determines the arrow's damage. Crude arrows do not need a feather and so are easier to make.

Arrowheads can be made using flint via knapping , or various types of metal using smithing . A single ingot of metal is used to make either six or nine arrowheads, depending on the recipe chosen. Arrowheads can be made out of copper , gold , silver , bronze , iron or steel .

Protip:
While it is possible to make 9 arrowheads out of a single ingot, it is easier to make the recipe starting from a metal plate.

A nearly-complete set of nine copper arrowheads.

Usage

Arrows are automatically taken from the player's inventory whether or not the arrows are in a hotbar slot when firing a bow.

Note: Before version v1.15.7-rc.1, players were able to craft a quiver . It could be placed in one of the bag slots of your inventory. It created 10 yellow slots in your inventory which could hold 10 stacks of arrows.

Arrows may be picked up from the ground or their target after firing, much like thrown spears. Arrows may break on impact.

The bow and arrow is a weapon available to players from mid stages of the game. The type of arrow used affects the damage dealt, as does the type of bow used.

Arrow Tier

The type of arrow used modifies the base attack power of the bow. Different types of arrows also have different chances to break upon hitting something.
