Fackeln sind die simpelsten Lichtquellen, die der Spieler erstellen kann. Sie gibt licht aus, wenn man sie in der Haupt- oder Nebenhand hält. Wenn man sie platziert, brennt sie für 48 Stunden, danach wird sie zur ausgebrannten Fackel. Wenn es Regnet, geht sie aus und wird zur erloschenen Fackel. Man kann sie erneut entzünden mit Fackeln die auf Blöcken platziert sind (Außnahme für Fackeln im Fackelhalter), an der Feuerstelle , Schmiede , Grubenöfen und Rennöfen .
