Items

Bread is an edible food item in Vintage Story. It is made from dough and baked in a clay oven . Compared to the base grain from which they are made, bread is a significantly more efficient way to gain grain satiety .

Obtaining

Creation

Bread is made by baking dough inside a hot clay oven. To heat the oven, the player must first burn some firewood inside it. Once the fire extinguishes, the oven will be heated up. Bread and other baked goods can only cook inside an oven that is above 160°C. It will process the dough into part-baked then baked then charred after certain amount of time passed.

Alternatively, bread can be cooked in the firepit which only cooks charred bread.

There are three stages of cooking bread: part-baked, baked and charred. These items have different spoilage times and will restore different amounts of satiety.

Purchasing

You can purchase spelt bread, rye bread, flax bread and rice bread from a Agriculture trader for an average price of 2 rusty gears .
