Coal is a group of minerals used as fuel. There are three types of coal: lignite (brown coal), bituminous (black coal), and anthracite.

The coals are some of the most potent fuels. Anthracite's 196 seconds is the longest burn duration of any fuel. Their temperatures are very high as well, only being beaten by charcoal which burns much faster. All coal types may be burned to fire a cementation furnace for steel making
