Soup

From Vintage Story Wiki

Soup is a consumable food item in Vintage Story. It is a type of meal that can be cooked by players in a cooking pot .

Creation

1L

Soup must be cooked in a cooking pot over a firepit . It requires one liter of fresh water and one vegetable to cook. Soups can optionally take two extra ingredients in slots 3 and 4 of the cooking pot. These can be eggs , meats (except bushmeat), or vegetables .

One unit of ingredients in each slot will produce one serving of soup. The recipe can be doubled, tripled or multiplied further to create more servings, up to a maximum of six servings.

Six servings of soup takes ~90 seconds to cook.[1]

NOTE: Click on a bowl/jug filled with water in your inventory, then click again in the firepit inventory to add increments of water to your cooking pot.[2]

Usage

Once created, the soup is stored inside the cooking pot. Players can then use an equipped bowl or crock to transfer it to those items. The bowl will pick up one serving of soup which can then be eaten. The crock will allow players to store the cooked meal longer and extend its shelf life.

Freshly cooked soup has a shelf life of 6 days, if none of the food preservation methods are used.
