Treasure map is a map in Vintage Story used to find buried treasure. It can be purchased from a treasure hunter trader.

Obtaining

Treasure maps have a 25% chance of being sold from a treasure hunter traders at a price of 9-14 rusty gears .

Usage

Select the treasure map in your hotbar and right click to use it. You get the message: "Approximate location of buried treasure added to your world map" in the chat window. A blue cross pinned waypoint has been added to your map. The blue cross will be within a few hundred blocks from your current position.

There are 23 themed chest variants with each having their own unique drop table.

In addition to the above drops, there is a 1/6 chance of receiving one of the following jonas parts:
