Stone paths can be crafted from all manner of stone types. They act like a normal full block or slab, however similar to farmland blocks they do not fill out their space completely.
Travelling on Stone Path Blocks or Stone Path Slabs increases player movement speed by 33 %, while Stone Path Stairs increase movement speed by 20 %.

Wooden paths can only be crafted from aged wooden planks. They can be placed directly on the ground similar to a carpet.
