Chests are stationary containers that can be placed on the ground. They can be used to store up to 16 items. A trunk is made from 2 chests and has 36 slots. This makes trunks more efficient than the 2 chests that are used to make them, but they do require two empty blocks.

Chest
A Chest is assembled from 8 boards in a square formation with 1 in each slot and one nails and strips in the center that can be of any metal.
Trunk
A Trunk is assembled from 2 Chests in a row with 1 in each slot.
History
- Chests didn't need metal in earlier versions
Notes
- Because crates do not require nails, they are a cheaper means of bulk storage. The player does need a saw, however, to create boards for crates.
