Honey is a liquid produced by bees. It is obtained from honeycomb. It is used in cooking, alcohol brewing and crafting poultices.
Obtaining
0.2L of honey is produced by squeezing a honeycomb over a bowl, jug, or wooden bucket. Honeycomb can be obtained by breaking wild beehives, or as a product of beekeeping.
Uses
- Honey can be directly consumed from containers by holding the container and using it. Each 0.2L of honey provides 60 fruit satiety or 1L of honey 300 of fruit satiety.
- Honey is used in cooking to produce jam, a long-lasting foodstuff that provides fruit satiety.
- Added to meals as an optional ingredient in porridge and meat stew, with a minimum portion size of 0.3L.
- An ingredient in Alcohol brewing to produce mead.
- Craft poultices, along with reeds or linen and sulfur. Honey-sulfur reed poultices heal for 4 HP, while honey-sulfur linen poultices heal for 7 HP. This makes honey-sulfur linen poultices one of the most potent healing items in Vintage Story, on par with alcohol-soaked bandages.
