Bamboo is a type of tree that grows in warm or temperate climates. Bamboo trees come in two varieties, green or brown. Aside from their appearance, they can be used interchangeably.

Obtaining

Bamboo grows wild in warm and hot climates with medium to heavy rainfall. Green bamboo grows in hotter climates than brown bamboo. Both types of bamboo behave identically.

Bamboo blocks can be chopped using an axe to drop bundles of bamboo stakes. Unlike other trees which grow from tree seeds, bamboo grows from bamboo saplings, which have a chance of dropping from bamboo leaves when broken.

Usage

Bamboo stakes dropped from chopping bamboo trees can be used to craft a variety of blocks as well as a hat.

A bamboo shoot can be crafted with a knife to create edible bamboo shoots, which each grant 100 satiety and no nutrition.
