Dye is an item in Vintage Story that can be used to change the color of fabrics and other clothing items.
Creation
Dyes must be created in a barrel. All dyes require a diluted solution of alum, chromite or cassiterite, plus an additional item that determines the color of the dye. One portion of dye can be made from either:
- 4 diluted alum solution
- 3 portions of diluted chromite solution
- 2 portions of diluted cassiterite
plus one dye item.
