Natural Generation
Soybeans can be found growing in the world.
Harvesting
Naturally occurring or player farmed soybean crops mature at growth stage 11. Break the crop using left mouse button with an empty hand, knife or scythe to harvest. When fully mature, crops yield multiple soybeans and at least one seed when harvested. Harvesting immature plants yields fewer beans and may not provide a seed.
Usage
Soybean must be cooked before eating and can be used as an advanced cooking ingredient in:
- Meat Stew (1-2)
- Vegetable Stew (1-4)
Storage
Once harvested, soybeans may be stored in the inventory or stationary containers.
Decay and Preservation Methods
When appropriately stored in storage vessel within a cellar, soybeans do not decay rapidly. Pickling methods reduce the shelf-life of soybeans, but the picked beans can be eaten without further cooking.
