Bones can be harvested from slaughtered wild or domesticated animals. Multiple bones can be obtained from large animals such as bears and bighorn sheep and one in medium animals such as wolves, wild pigs and hyenas. They are sometimes absent in small animals such as hares, foxes, chickens and raccoons.
