Cooper's reed (a.k.a. Cattails) are a very important early game item for making containers, rope, and skeps. They have two potential drops which include cattails tops and cattail roots.
Catttail tops can be used to craft hand baskets to increase your inventory, as well as stationary baskets that can be placed and used as item storage.
Cattail roots can be cooked and ate to restore saturation.
