Use a knife to
harvest cattails tops.
breaking the block with an empty hand allows players to collect the cattail tops, but it destroys the plant. Reeds are used to craft the simplest portable containers, the hand basket to expand the player's inventory. Combined with horsetail, they will make useful poultices to heal you.
