Notes

  • Grains such as rye can be cooked in a pot to make porridge. Peeled cassava may be added to porridge as a vegetable component, but cannot be the base ingredient. Once dried, the way to get grain nutrition from cassava is to grind it into flour. Flour can make dough for bread and pie, but cannot make porridge.
  • Most crops have the properties butterflyFeed and beeFeed between stage 1 and the final stage. But cassava doesn't.[1]
  • Cassava is also known as "manioc" and "yuca," and numerous regional names. Raw cassava contains toxic levels of cyanide. Cassava starch is the source of tapioca.[2]
