Lead is a metal obtained from smelting galena ore.

Creation

Lead is created from galena ore. 20 galena nuggets produces one lead ingot. Due to its low melting point, lower temperature fuels such as firewood or peat can be used as well as higher-temperature fuels like charcoal and coal.

Usage

Lead is used as a component of the alloys molybdochalkos and lead solder. Furthermore, making leaded glass panels requires one lead ingot for every glass pane.

While pure lead ingots are the only ones in the game that can be worked on an anvil while cold, pure lead itself has almost no use in smithing. The only item that can be made from lead is a lead plate - requiring 2 ingots - which can only be used in the crafting of an Archimedes screw.
