Dry grass is an item that is harvested from the world, using a knife, or more efficiently using a scythe. It's used for crafting, or as a source of food for large animals. See animal husbandry for more information.

Usage

Dry Grass is used to create:

Animal Husbandry

Dry grass can be placed in large troughs to feed Wild pigs and Bighorn sheep, when breeding domesticated livestock through Animal Husbandry.

Storage

Dry grass stacks to 64 and can be transported in the player's inventory or stored in stationary containers, but may not be stacked on solid surfaces. Players can convert dry grass to Hay Bales for 8x more efficient storage (6x before 1.15, due to changes in hay recipe).
