Quartz is a very common mineral that can be found in large deposits at nearly all heights. It sometimes hosts gold and/or silver, and is used in the creation of both Glass blocks and Lanterns. While Mining quartz ore blocks, players will receive Quartz Chunks, as well as a few bits of Clear Quartz. The latter can be used to craft Quartz Glass and Lanterns without the need to smelt the bits in a bloomery, unlike the Quartz Chunks which can only be processed into clear glass through smelting.
