Traders naturally spawn at random locations on the surface of survival worlds and can be found in trader's carts which are made out of wooden planks, logs, and often decorated with a variety of other decorative blocks that are only common on these carts. Traders deal in a variety of different goods, which can be bought and sold using the game currency: rusty gears.

Interacting with Traders

Upon finding a trader, players may enter his cart or stand at the gate. To open the trading GUI, use RMB on the trader with an empty hand. (Warning: If holding a weapon, a player may attack the trader. Do not attack traders! He will attack players in response.) A trading window will appear that includes the items the trader is buying or selling. To buy items, select the item(s) from the selling side of the GUI and it will appear in the "trade" slots. To sell items, move the desired items from player inventory and place these into the slots. Upon completing the transaction, rusty gear currency will be automatically added or removed from player inventory.

  • Trader inventories change, so check back frequently for new items!
