Creating bronze works in the same way as when you create copper, however, you will have to find some extra ingredients to create one of these 3 alloys. Mix them inside the crucible according to these ratios. Be aware that some ores contain fewer units of metal than others, as shown in the tooltip information.
There are 3 types of bronze that tools can be made of:
* Tin bronze is a mixture of copper and tin. It has double durability than copper and quite strong.
* Bismuth bronze is a mixture of copper, bismuth, and zinc and has slightly higher durability than tin bronze but slightly less damage on swords, and mining speeds.
* Black bronze is a mixture of copper, gold, and silver. It has the highest durability and strength of all bronze alloys.
Here's some options to find these:
* Use the prospecting pick to figure out where *not* to search for the desired ore or just do a lot of caving
* Find a trader that sells ores
* Find cracked vessels and ruin loot, these also contain ores
You don't need to know the ratios as you can also guess your way to them just by trial and error in the crucible. The firepit dialog will tell you if you got a valid combination. They are however also listed in the handbook (opened via key
H
).
