Nutrition was introduced in patch 1.7.0. This system allows different foods supply different amounts of nutrients. Eating a healthy balance of all foods will allow players to increase their hitpoints to a maximum of 25. To see your current nutrition levels you can open the stats page by pressing 'c' by default.
