Jam is a consumable food item in Vintage Story. It is a type of meal that can be cooked by players in a cooking pot . Due to the short shelf-life of fruits, and the lack of other food preservation methods for fruits, jam is the best way to create a long-lasting food that restores fruit satiety .

Jam must be cooked in a cooking pot over a firepit . It requires honey and two units of any fruit , such as berries or fruit from fruit trees . The honey must be added in 0.2L "servings", otherwise the recipe will not work.

One unit of ingredients in each slot will produce one serving of jam. The recipe can be doubled, tripled or multiplied further to create more servings, up to a maximum of six servings.

Usage

Once created, the jam is stored inside the cooking pot. Players can then use an equipped bowl or crock to transfer it to those items. The bowl will pick up one serving of stew which can then be eaten. The crock will allow players to store the cooked meal longer and extend its shelf life.
