Creation

One ingot is equivalent to 100 units or 20 nuggets of base metal/alloy components. Players create ingots from ore nuggets using two methods. All metals or alloys with melting temperatures below 1300 C can be created using the casting mechanic. The process of molding all base metals or alloys (except iron) is provided on the casting page. Iron has a melting temperature above 1300 C and ingots must be crafted using the bloomery. See the bloomery page for detailed instructions to use the bloomery functional block.

Looting

Ingots may also be found in chests or loot vessels when exploring ruins.

Usage

Ingots are used in smithing. When heated using a forge and worked on an anvil, ingots are used to create:

Ingots made of metals with melting temperatures under 1300 C can be smelted in a crucible and used to fill tool or item molds. When smelted, one ingot returns 100 metal units.

Storage

Ingots may be stored in stationary containers, or stacked on a solid surface.
