There are various gemstones throughout Vintage Story, some of which can be used directly in crafting. Gemstones are special minerals that can be put into a Bloomery to form Glass.

Gemstones

Quartz

Quartz is a very common mineral that can be found in large deposits at nearly all heights. It sometimes houses Gold and Silver, and is used in the creation of both Lanterns and Glass.

Quartz is found in almost every rock type except Bauxite, Kimberlite, Suevite, and Marble.

Olivine

Olivine is a mineral primarily found underground and is used in the creation of Green Glass.

Olivine is only found in Peridotite.

Gems

Gems do not currently have a use outside of Trading.
