Natural Generation

Flowers naturally generate when the world is created. Flowers are specific to climactic regions. They do not generate in all types of climates, while some climactic regions generate more than one flower.

Propagation

Flowers do not spread naturally and cannot be farmed to create more flowers, but can only be obtained through harvesting wild plants.

Special Case Generation

Horsetail, which is discussed below, will spawn on player created farmland blocks in certain climate regions. This is the only flower that spawns into the world after world creation.

Flower Types

  • Red Lupine
  • White Lupine
  • Purple Lupine
  • Blue Lupine (Bluebonnet)

Harvesting

Flowers can be harvested by left clicking on a plant to break the plant. Flowers stack to 64, can be carried in player inventory or stored in stationary containers.

Uses

Flowers can be replanted in any soil type or placed in flower pots and planters for decoration around bases. Flowers are used in beekeeping as essential food for bees.

Special Use Flowers

Horsetail is a plant that can be used to create healing poultices, which restore player hit points faster than normal regeneration. Healing poultices are created in the crafting grid from horsetail plants and linen or horsetail plants and cattail tops.
