Natural Generation

Flax can be found growing in the world.

Harvesting

Naturally occurring or player farmed flax crops mature at growth stage 9. Break the crop using left mouse button with an empty hand, knife or scythe to harvest. When fully mature, crops yield multiple flax grains, flax fiber and at least one seed when harvested. Harvesting immature plants yields fewer grains and may not provide a seed or flax fiber.

Usage

Flax grain may be eaten without cooking and can be used as an advanced cooking ingredient in:

  • Porridge (2-4)
  • Bread (1 grain = 1 loaf)

Storage

Once harvested, flax may be stored in the player's inventory or stationary containers. Flax grain stacks to 64.

Decay and Preservation Methods

When stored dry, grains decay slowly. No additional methods need be applied to preserve grain.
