Creation
Players can obtain firewood by splitting any log with any Axe in the Crafting Grid. Different types of wood provide different amounts of firewood.
Usage
Firewood can be used directly in the firepit as fuel, but firewood is also used to create charcoal. See the charcoal page for more information on creating a charcoal pit.
Storage
Firewood may be carried in player inventory, or stored in stationary containers. Firewood may also be stored in stacks on a block. Multiple stacks of firewood can be placed on top of each other.
Stacking Firewood
To place the firewood
- Hold the firewood in the active hand, sneak (Left shift + right mouse button) to place onto the square/space identified using the player's crosshairs.
- Each time the mouse button is pressed, two pieces of firewood will be placed onto the selected block, which will add to a stack.
- When a stack is complete (32), and a player has more firewood to add, a new stack will be created above the existing (filled) stack.
To remove firewood
Press the Right mouse button while white crosshairs are aimed at the firewood stack to remove two pieces (per click).
