The Bloomery is a functional block that can be used in the advanced stages of the game for melting materials such as glass and metals like iron that require very high temperatures, which cannot be obtained using the firepit.

Crafting the Bloomery

The complete bloomery consists of two blocks: the base and the chimney. Crafting both blocks requires a total of 12 fire bricks and is completed in the crafting grid. The grid crafting recipes:

Smelting items in the bloomery requires fuel (coal or charcoal and the item you desire to process (iron ore nuggets, quartz chunks).

The Bloomery does not have a GUI. To place items into the bloomery base, aim your crosshairs at the Bloomery Base and right click with the desired item in your active hand.

After placing items into the base, you may read the description of the items currently in the Bloomery by aiming your crosshairs at the base block. The interface window will display currently loaded contents. (Circled in Red)

To ignite the filled Bloomery, press Left Shift to sneak + right click on the base with a Torch. After a few seconds you will see the smoke from the chimney, and the hole on the base will start to light up.

Smelting materials in the bloomery will take around 10 in-game hours. Once the smelting process is complete, break the Bloomery to gather your materials.

Please note that breaking the Bloomery returns about 8 fire bricks, so you will need another 4 bricks for crafting both Bloomery blocks to repeat this process.
