Berry
Natural Generation
Five types of berry bushes naturally generate when the world is created. Berry Bushes are specific to climactic regions. They do not generate in all types of climates, while some climactic regions generate more than one type of berry bush.
Propagation
Berry Bushes do not spread naturally and cannot be farmed to create more bushes, but can only be obtained through harvesting wild plants.
Berry Bush Types
Harvesting
Berry bushes can be harvested by left clicking on a plant to break the plant. Bushes stack to 64, can be carried in player inventory or stored in stationary containers. Berries can be harvested by right clicking on a plant to harvest only the berries without breaking the bush. Berries also stack to 64, can be carried in player inventory, or stored in stationary containers.
Uses
Berry bushes are used to farm berries, which are a source of the fruit component in player nutrition. Bushes can be replanted on any type of soil, but may not be placed on other types of terrain blocks (ex: sand, gravel, stone). As noted above, currant bushes may be planted/placed on top of another currant bush. When placed, bushes will take some time to flower, after which, they will produce berries. Berry bushes cannot be placed in flower pots or planters. Berries are a food source and may be eaten directly, or used as a component in porridge meals and jam. See the cooking guide for recipes including berries.
