|Aged wooden bed|
A Bed is a functional block that allows players to sleep through part of the night and advance time in game towards sunrise.
Three types of beds exist: Hay beds, Wooden beds, and Aged wooden beds.
Hay and wooden beds can be crafted by players in the crafting grid.
An aged wooden bed cannot be crafted and must be looted from ruins.
Players can only sleep in a bed once per day. It is important to note that sleeping in any form of bed does not reset player spawn. To reset a player's spawn use a temporal gear.
- Entering: Right click on the bed to sleep.
- Operation: The player screen will darken and time will advance a number of hours based on which bed is used.
- Hay bed: 5.5 Hours
- Wooden bed: 6.5 Hours
- Aged wooden bed: 7.5 Hours
- Exiting: Upon waking, the player will automatically exit. 'Sneak' will allow a player to exit a bed without sleeping.
ALL players on a server or in a multiplayer LAN game must enter a bed for players to sleep through part of the night. Bed types do not have to be identical to be used. If some players have hay beds, and others have wooden beds, all players sleep for the time specified by the minimum of the beds used. In this case, 5.5 hours. Players using beds which would allow a longer sleeping time will wake and will not exit beds automatically may need to 'sneak' to exit the bed.
