Axes are the primary tool used to break Wood-type Blocks.

The raw material used to create the tool head determines the crafting process required:
- Knapping: All tool-making stones
- Casting (100 units): Copper and Bronze alloy
- Smithing (1 ingot): Iron, Bronze alloy, Copper, (Gold and Silver)

Usage
The axe is most efficient when used to harvest or process wood blocks such as trees, logs, planks, fences, gates and items including wooden building components.
Harvesting
To harvest a material: place the tool in an active hotbar slot and press or hold left mouse button until the block breaks and the block or resource drops.
- When chopping a tree: aim the crosshairs at the lowest block to harvest the entire tree.
Combat
- Attacking a mob (melee combat): place the tool in an active hotbar slot and press or hold left mouse button to strike the target. Currently, all axes have a range of 2 meters.
Crafting
Place the axe in the grid crafting slot above the material to be cut. Removing the (product) from the output slot of the grid uses the tool. When complete, remove the tool from the grid, or close the interface by pressing 'E' to replace the tool into an available space in the inventory or hotbar. (If a slot is not available, pressing 'E' will discard the item(s) on the ground)
- The axe is used to craft:
Storage
Tools are items commonly used by players and are generally equipped in the hotbar. Up to four tools can be placed on the tool rack, a specialized wall-mounted storage container. Axes do not stack in inventory or when placed in containers.
