| The firestarter is probably one of the very first tools to be crafted in the early game. The firestarter can be used to ignite a {{ll|firepit|firepit}}, and then, later in the game, a {{ll|forge|forge}} or a {{ll|bloomery|bloomery}}. To ignite a fire, put a firestarter in the active hotbar, then hold down {{RMB}} on the item to ignite. As a primitive tool, the firestarter sometimes shows a low efficiency. Thus, starting a fire with it can be tedious. Each attempt will wear down some durability.
