Different types of soil are found in different places in the world and vary based on the climate. Five different types of soil exist in the world at different fertility rates: bony, barren, low, medium, and very high (called "Terra preta"). Each type has the following starting levels of nutrients, respectively: 0%, 5%, 25%, 50%, 80%. The forest floor is a special kind of soil appearing only in forest. When broken, the forest floor turns into low fertility soil. Soil retains its fertility levels when removed and placed elsewhere, as long as it hasn't yet been converted with a hoe into farmland.
