Creation

Window on left is outward, window on right is inward. Both are made of glass slabs.

Game recognizes place as room when certain conditions are fulfilled:

  • Maximum size of room is 14x14x14 (some types of rooms might be smaller). This is size of interior, not counting walls, floor and ceiling.
  • Space must be fully enclosed, without any gaps or holes.
  • Walls, floor and ceiling must be built from blocks that are considered solid, but there are some quirks:
    • Leaded glass panes as well as doors , including trapdoors , count as solid blocks with the exceptions of crude, sleek, and ruined doors which all count as non-airtight doors.
    • Slabs in some respects count as "half-blocks". You can put them both inwards or outwards and it will count as solid block, but putting them outwards might cause room to be considered larger than expected and potentially stop counting as room.
    • Chiseled blocks do not have to have a completely solid face, and instead have to have no more than 32 voxels missing from the solid face and at least 50% of the total volume of the block in voxels to count as solid.
