The straw dummy is a craftable item that can be used to practice combat and as a decoy for angry bees .

The straw dummy requires the following items to craft:

Usage

A straw dummy ready to receive some blows.

The straw dummy should be planted on the ground.

The player can hit the straw dummy with all kinds of blows to practice combat. Each blow reduces the durability of the dummy and after a while it will eventually break. Note that the straw dummy cannot be repaired and you will have to make a new one when it is broken.

The straw dummy can be placed near your skeps to serve as a decoy. When a wild beehive or skep is damaged there is a chance for angry bees to spawn which will attack the player and nearby mobs and domesticated animals. By leading the angry bees to the straw dummy the player can bait the bees into the attacking the dummy until they despawn (two minutes).

You can return the straw dummy to your inventory by sneak clicking. Doing so will reset its hit points back to full at a value of 101.
