Storage vessels are a container used to store items. They have a unique shelf life extension for vegetables and grains .

Obtaining

Crafting

Storage vessels are created by forming any kind of clay , then firing it in a pit kiln or beehive kiln . Firing a storage vessel in a pit kiln requires 8 fuel to be placed on top instead of 4 before it can be lit. Once fired, it can placed like any other container.

Trading and Exploration

Decorated storage vessels can be purchased from Artisan traders or found in ruins.

Usage

Storage vessels have 12 slots that can be used to store any item. Storage vessels have an additional 75% spoil speed multiplier for vegetables and a 50% spoil speed modifier for grains . This bonus is multiplicative with a cellar , extending the shelf life of vegetables to about 1.3 years and that of grains to about 13 years.

Due to the relative abundance of clay, and their increased capacity compared to reed chests , storage vessels are useful in the early game as all-purpose storage. Later on, they remain useful due to their ability to help preserve food.
