Resin is a crafting material that can be found leaking out of pine and acacia trees. It is mainly used to construct items for use in mechanical power.
Obtaining
Each log block in a naturally generated pine tree has a 1/100 chance of leaking resin. For naturally generated acacia tree logs, the odds are 1:200 per log block. Pine or acacia trees planted by the player can never spawn leaking logs. Resin can be harvested without needing any tool. Resin can be harvested continuously every 168 in-game hours (7 days).
Resin can also be purchased from the commodities trader for 1.5 to 2.5 gears.
Natural generation
Usage
Resin is an essential crafting material for basic wood armor and certain objects used for generating mechanical power. It is also used in the creation of glue to allow collection of clutter without breaking it and as an optional ingredient for the longbow in place of fat or beeswax.
