Leather is a material used to craft a variety of extremely useful items, such as the leather backpack , leather armor and leather jerkin components, some clothing items, the sling and various elk-related items.

Creation

Players create leather from raw hides through the process of leather working using the barrel crafting mechanic. One huge, large, medium, and small hide produce 5, 3, 2, and 1 leather respectively.

Hides can be looted from wild or domesticated animals upon death.

Sturdy leather is a higher tier variant of leather requiring chromium tanned hides and beeswax .

Storage

While leather can be put in storage containers. They can be placed on the ground , up to 16 per block.
