The Fruitpress is a machine that separates fruit into juice and mash. Juicing extends the freshness of fruits but lowers their overall satiety. The fruitpress can also extract oil from olives and honey from honeycomb.
Mash is a byproduct of the process that can be used to feed animals.
Crafting
The fruitpress requires a metal rod, hammer, and chisel. The hammer and chisel can be any metal type. The rod must be copper, bronze, iron, meteoric iron, or steel. Crafting a fruitpress costs 30 hammer durability and 40 chisel durability.

If your tools don't have enough durability, the fruitpress cannot be crafted. |

Operation
The fruitpress has 3 areas of interaction. As shown in the image:

Adding container
- Place an empty bucket or clay jug in the output slot (3) using
. A partially filled container will work if there is enough space and the same juice is being produced.
Note that the 3L capacity of a jug will not be able to collect all of the liquid. To prevent loss, release the screw in the following steps before 3L of liquid is produced. This can only be done when the screw is twisted all the way down.
Adding material
- Add materials to the input slot (2) using
. This will create wet mash, which exists as a single item before it is squeezed.
If the player is holding a stack, materials will automatically be added in increments of 4. To add 1 at a time, use Shift +
. To add the maximum amount, use Ctrl +
.
The total output of liquid must be greater than 4L (13 fruits, 13 olives, or 21 honeycombs), or else the mash cannot be squeezed properly in the next step.
Pressing
- Twist the screw (1) until it is fully pressed using
. If the liquid will overfill the container, releasing RMB will eventually stop liquid from being squeezed. - Wait for liquid to fill the container. The Block info HUD displays the current progress.
- Release the screw (1). This can only be done when the screw is all the way down.
- Remove the mash from the input slot (2) using
. This can only be done after the screw is released. - Remove the filled container from the output (3) using
.
After this, the fruitpress is ready to be used again. If all of the liquid was squeezed successfully, the wet mash will be converted into dry mash, which can be placed in small and large troughs as animal feed. For honeycombs, wet mash is converted into beeswax instead. Fruit juice can be stored in a barrel and a cellar to extend its freshness.

All fruit juices provide 200 fruit satiety per liter and last 7 days.
- For fruits with 200 satiety, their overall satiety is decreased by 68.75% when compared to raw.
- For fruits with 80 satiety, their overall satiety is decreased by 21.875% when compared to raw.
- For fruits with 60 satiety, their overall satiety is increased by 4.167% when compared to raw.
- For fruits with 40 satiety, their overall satiety is increased by 56.25% when compared to raw.
In contrast, using fruit as a cooking ingredient increases their satiety by 50% when compared to raw.
Creating fruit juice is the first step in alcohol brewing. Fermentation and distillation have the same effect, increasing fruit juice’s shelf-life at the cost of decreasing satiety.

Olive oil can replace fat in crafting oil lamps.

Honeycomb can be squeezed into honey without the use of tools, but the ability to squeeze 50 honeycombs at once is useful for advanced beekeepers.
Dry Mash
Besides feeding animals, dry mash can be intentionally allowed to rot for compost. Raw fruit produces 0.25 rot each. Dry mash produces 1 rot each, and 1L of fruit juice produces 0.5 rot. Therefore, squeezing 32 fruits and allowing the dry mash and juice to spoil will produce 15 rot in total (in comparison, 32 raw fruits produce 8 rot). If this is desired, the dry mash and fruit juice can be stored outdoors to maximize their rot speed.
This process is only slightly beneficial for olives, as olive oil does not spoil.
