Animals

Gazelles are a harmless type of animal found in the world in hot and dry climates. They are a source of redmeat, hide and fat, but killing them can be difficult as they can spot the player from a very long distance.

Spawning

Gazelles will spawn in light levels 10 and higher, at temperatures between 20 and 90, and in areas with with less than 0.5 rainfall and less than 0.1 forest. They spawn in average groups of 6 individuals. Technically, males are the entity that is spawned and femelles and calves are companions with the male.

Behaviours

Like most animals, it is a common sight to see the females staying close to the males and the young close to their mothers. You will typically find them wandering about, unless you approach less than 30 blocks from them. Then they will flee.

Domestication

Gazelles cannot be domesticated.

Drops

Butcher the animal by right-clicking while crouching with a knife in the active hand to harvest its corpse.
