Cupronickel is an alloy made from copper and nickel . Its uses are primarily end-game.

Progression

Cupronickel, along with electrum and lead , is used to craft advanced technological components that provide several major new functions. Since these require significant time, materials, and rare parts dropped by powerful enemies, like corrupt sawblade locusts , it is largely used only by well-geared players.

Obtaining

As an alloy, cupronickel is not naturally occurring and must be created by the player.
Cupronickel ingots alloy from 20 nuggets of the below cast in a crucible and poured into ingot molds for use.

Nickel smelts at 1325°C, requiring coke exclusively as fuel to create the alloy.
However cupronickel itself smelts at 1171°C, requiring any type of coal , charcoal , or coke as fuel.

Usage

Cupronickel plates and rods can be smithed. Riveted blocks can be crafted with 6 plates. Bits can be created by chiseling cupronickel ingots, plates, rods, or work items and resmelted into ingots.
