A Rickety translocator is a modified translocator that connects Tobias' cave with any location of the player's choosing.
Schematic and parts
Crafting a rickety translocator requires a Customized Translocator Schematic and an Illuminal divergence manifold. These can be obtained during Chapter 2.
Unlike the Glider schematic, the Customized Translocator Schematic cannot be copied, but it is not consumed during crafting. The Illuminal divergence manifold is consumed, meaning only one rickety translocator can be crafted.
In return, he will give Seraph the schematic and manifold.
Crafting
The Rickety translocator is crafted in the crafting grid using the following materials:
| Ingredients | Crafting Recipe |
|---|---|
| 1x Customized Translocator Schematic 2x Electrum plates 4x Support beams 8x Nails and strips (Iron, Meteoric, Steel or Cupronickel) 6x Lead plate 3x Cupronickel Rods 2x Temporal gears 1x Illuminal divergence manifold |
Usage
Place the rickety translocator and hop onto the platform to activate it. After a moment, the player will be teleported to the receiving unit in Tobias' cave. The player can stand on Tobias' translocator to return back to the player's rickety translocator.
After using the unit in Tobias' cave to return to the starting point, the player-placed unit will be on an 2-month (18-day) cooldown before it can be used again. This can be bypassed by breaking and re-placing the unit. The unit in Tobias' cave cannot be broken.
With multiplayer, the placed translocator links to a player. Other players won't be able to use the translocator. If a second rickety translocator is obtained, each player to stand on Tobias' translocator will return to their own linked translocator.
