The Blackguard shortsword is a unique iron-age weapon that can be made exclusively by the Blackguard class.

Crafting

The Blackguard shortsword can be made with a stick, a charcoal, and an iron shortsword head, which is made by smithing. Unless the server/world setting 'Class exclusive recipes' is turned-off, it can be only made by the Blackguard class.

Obtaining

It is found in the Resonance Archives in the Guard Quarters.

Usage

Combat

Attacking a mob (melee combat): place the Blackguard shortsword in an active hotbar slot and press or hold left mouse button to strike the target. This weapon has an attack range of 2.5 m.

Storage

The blackguard shortsword can be either placed on the ground against the wall or can put in the tool rack, a specialized wall-mounted storage container. Falxes do not stack in inventory or when placed in containers.
