Items

Coal is a group of minerals used as fuel. There are four types of coal:

• lignite (brown coal)
• bituminous (black coal)
• anthracite
• contaminated coal

Obtaining

Coal of all types only appears in sedimentary rock, usually deeper than 5-10% of world height below sea level.

Usage

Crafting

• Brown and Black coal can be used to manufacture coke .
• Black coal is a pigment that can be used to write on signs , labeled crates , etc... and to draw symbols on walls.
• Black coal is furthermore used to make blasting powder, which is used to craft ore blasting bombs .

Fuel

The coals are some of the most potent fuels. Anthracite's 196 seconds is the longest burn duration of any fuel. Their temperatures are very high as well, only being beaten by charcoal which burns much faster. All coal types may be burned to fire a cementation furnace for steel making .

Fuel making

Black coal and brown coal can be manufactured into coke in a coke oven, to be used as carbon in the coffin for steel making .
