Compost is a fertilizer item that can be created by players.
Creation
Compost is created by placing 64 Rot in a Barrel and sealing it for 20 days (you obtain 16 compost). Rot is the result of food decay and may be removed from meal containers by throwing them in water.
Usage
Compost can be applied to the soil to replenish nutrient levels. Compost contains 40% N (nitrogen), 8% P (phosphorus) and 8% K (potassium).
Compost can also be used to craft Terra Preta , which is the best soil for farming that's currently available. For more information, see the farming guide .
Storage
Compost can be transported in the player inventory, or stored in containers .
