Peanuts are a type of food crop that can be farmed. Peanuts grow best in warm environments. Much like soybeans, they are a vegetable that provides protein satiety.

Obtaining

Peanuts can be found growing in the world in warm to hot regions. They cannot be bought, or found in seed cracked vessels.

Growing

Peanuts can grow in temperatures from 10 - 42°C. They require 3.33 months (30 days) to grow at default 9 day per month settings, and go through 9 growth stages. Peanuts use up 45% P nutrition from their farm plot.

Peanuts can be harvested by breaking the crop, either with no tool or with a scythe. When fully mature, crops yield multiple peanuts and at least one seed when harvested. Harvesting immature plants yields fewer crops and may not provide a seed.

Usage

Raw peanuts grant 160 protein satiety when eaten. As of version 1.16, peanuts cannot be used in cooking. They may be placed in large troughs, as feed for pigs. Peanuts benefit from storage in ceramic storage vessels, or in cellars.
